Best Fintech Payments Provider @ The 6th Annual FinTech Awards 2021




The 6th Annual Australian FinTech Awards celebrate the achievements of the dynamic people and businesses comprising the fintech sector. These Awards seek to recognise success in the fintech sector in its many forms. This event was an evening of celebrating the best innovation created by the best innovators and entrepreneurs that live and work in Australia.


We (ASX: NOV) are ending the year on a high, having on Wednesday won the Best Fintech Payments Provider award at the 6th Annual FinTech Awards. This has been a significant achievement across the merchant acquiring and issuing divisions of the group.

Andrew Bragg is a Liberal Senator for New South Wales. Before his appointment in 2019, he was an accountant at Ernst & Young and an author who wrote Bad Egg: How To Fix Super in 2020. Senator Braggs has established himself in the Crypto and payments community by supporting and driving regulation. On the 20th of October 2021, he presented its final report.


It includes up to twelve recommendations that will help address the absence of crypto and blockchain regulations in Australia. Currently, Australia treats profits on cryptocurrency transactions as a capital gain tax. As a result, Australia is behind Singapore that does not have a CGT. Sen. Andrew Bragg, the chairman of the Australian Senate Committee, expressed his belief that Australia could soon become a leader in digital assets. He said that Australian players could have access to lower fees and new choices after the change of laws and regulations
