With a global perspective on merchant acquiring, operational management, and strategic insight into the payments landscape, Kian is a leader with a wealth of experience. His extensive background includes proficiently managing payment processing systems, implementing risk compliance plans, exploring cryptocurrency alternatives, and identifying business growth opportunities.

Kian has left a notable mark on the industry by establishing new markets in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in Australia and New Zealand. His strategic planning and business growth initiatives have led to the creation of end-to-end Merchant Acquirer solutions, multiple Payment Facilitators, crypto currency products, and payment gateways. Currently, as the Managing Director of Riva Tech Consulting, a premier boutique payments consultancy, Kian continues to contribute his wealth of knowledge to the industry.

In his recent role at Novatti (ASX: NOV), Kian spearheaded the payments acceptance division, generating an impressive $5 million in revenue for the group. Over three years, he successfully launched various payment products, including online payments combined with many features including a chargeback guarantee, card-present payment terminals, a pay-by-crypto product, Softpos also known as tap-to-phone payments, and privacy compliance solutions.

Prior to his role at Novatti, Kian led the SecurePay group (comprising SecurePay and POLi payments), where he managed a team of 110 people processing 1 million transactions per day, totalling $75 billion. Under his leadership, the SecurePay group earned multiple industry awards, showcasing Kian's commitment to excellence and innovation in the payments sector.

Earlier in his career, Kian played pivotal roles at Fiserv in Ireland and Australia lent his skills and insights to another prominent payments company in Brisbane. Before venturing into the payments industry, Kian built a strong foundation working for State Street as an accountant. His experience in the financial services sector provided him with a comprehensive understanding of financial operations and accounting principles, adding a valuable dimension to his versatile skill set.
